Kunal Sablok is a seasoned Platform Architect at Intel Corporation with over 14 years of experience in designing and developing various projects at all levels of the data path stack. His expertise spans from Linux kernel device mappers, file-system, block layer, IO scheduler layer, SCSI mid layer, SCSI low-level block device drivers, firmware on PCIe NVMe controller, firmware on RAID controller, and SSD NAND flash firmware. Kunal has comprehensive knowledge of Micron NAND internals for L95B (MLC NAND), L06B (MLC NAND), and B0KB (TLC NAND). He has experience in designing and developing SSD Flash Translation Layer (FTL) virtualization firmware and NVMe protocol initiator and NVMe target as part of PCIe card firmware. Kunal has also designed and developed Nytro RAID controller firmware in all RAID levels R0, R1, R5, and R6 for SSD flash devices. He has expertise in designing and developing block device drivers for SSD devices and file-system copy features like mirroring. Before joining Intel, Kunal worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Seagate, where he designed and developed overall SSD FTL Virtualization Firmware and features in enterprise-level Seagate SAS SSD. Kunal holds a Master of Computer Applications degree from IIT and a Bachelor of Computer Applications degree from PTU. He has a strong technical background in C, C++, Oracle, Java, OS, Data Structures and Algorithms, Assembly Language, HTML, Networking, and Visual Basic.
