Kunal Sangwan is a seasoned technologist and the Co-Founder/CTO of Piggy, a fintech startup based in India. With over 10 years of relevant experience, Kunal is a product designer and a software engineer with expertise in mobile and backend technologies. Prior to starting Piggy, Kunal worked at Amazon for over three years as a Software Development Engineer 2, where he was responsible for taking Amazon Authentication Back-end to the next level by building highly scalable and distributed systems. However, Kunal wanted to channel his efforts into something more satisfying, which led him to start Piggy. As a Co-Founder/CTO of Piggy, Kunal drives product design, writes code, and handles the company’s tech operations. He is also responsible for recruiting amazing talent and other little bits that go into running a hi-tech company full time. Kunal is passionate about building a team that is effective and believes that the power of like-minded and able-bodied folks combined is far greater than anything he can accomplish individually. At Piggy, Kunal and his team are working on technology that would change the way we think about finance in India. Piggy is a financial app that lets you take full control of your money by combining banking, investments, and advice in one place. Piggy comes with a digital bank account, a debit card, and a seamless mobile experience that simplifies the journey to wealth creation. Kunal and his team are fully committed to removing managing money as a stress point from the lives of Indians and democratizing wealth creation for all Indians with their new product. Kunal holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra. He is a YC Founder at Y Combinator and is currently hiring for his team at Piggy.
