Kundan Singh is an experienced technology leader with over 17 years of relevant experience in creating and handling highly distributed, high availability systems in various domains like ecommerce, OTT, infotainment, ad server, and fintech. He is currently working at Shiprocket as the VP Scalability, where he is responsible for ensuring the scalability of the company's systems. Prior to joining Shiprocket, Kundan served as the Chief Technology Officer at Bettr, where he successfully launched the Bettr credit card in the market. He also worked at Gaana as an Architect, where he reduced downtime of Gaana.com services by 80%, reduced 99%ile latency of APIs by 80% (external API traffic more than 1 Billion/day), reduced total CPU count by 20% while handling 40% more traffic, and reduced security vulnerability by 99%. He also redesigned the backend system to get better performance out of hardware such as data center blade, chassis, switches. He managed and mentored across multiple teams. Kundan holds a B.Tech degree in Ceramics from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, and completed his high school education in Mathematics from L.S. College, Muzaffarpur. Kundan's technical expertise lies in senior software engineering and backend development.
