Kurian Jacob is a highly skilled software engineer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft Edge, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining the browser using Chromium. Kurian's passion for programming started at a young age, when he got his first computer at the age of 12. He quickly mastered Visual C++ and Win32 API, and by the age of 14, he had already created a program that replaced the ballot-based voting system at his school. He also developed a transliterator that could change Latin alphabet (IAST scheme) to any Indian language. Kurian's interest in game development led him to create a Chess Engine, but it failed to meet his expectations. Kurian completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, followed by a Master of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. At IIT Bombay, he worked as a Teaching Assistant for two courses: Computer Programming and Utilization and Digital Image Processing. Kurian's technical skills include software engineering and image processing. He is proficient in several programming languages and has experience working with various software development tools. He has also contributed to several open-source projects, which can be found on his GitHub profile.
