Kush Bhatia is a highly motivated and skilled individual with a passion for breaking down complex problems and exploring possible solutions. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington and is expected to graduate in 2023. Kush has a strong background in programming and has taken various core CS courses, including Data Structures and Algorithms, Network Security, Fundamentals of Programming, Database Management, and Machine Learning. He has also served as a TA for Computer Network, Intro to Data Science, and Database Management. Kush has worked with a range of technologies, including Java, Kotlin, Python, Javascript, Angular, React.js, Redux, Typescript, SQL, Impala, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Node.js, Express, Firebase, AWS CDK, and AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, S3, and DynamoDB. In addition to his academic pursuits, Kush has a keen interest in research and has published his work in reputed conferences and journals. His research focus has been on Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Forecasting, and he has acquired skills in Pytorch, Sklearn, Tensorflow, NLTK, and spaCy. Kush has 1.28 years of relevant experience, including a former SDE Internship at Amazon and his current role as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon chat and voice customer support. He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering and as a Data Engineer at Macquarie Group. At Macquarie, Kush designed and implemented database models for the digitalization of tax returns, built ETL data ingestion and transformation packages, and automated desktop instructions using Alteryx and Python. Kush holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from DTU and has also completed his high school education from Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute.
