Kush Rustagi is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II at AWS Glue, with over 5 years of relevant experience in analyzing and improving large-scale distributed systems. With a passion for data analytics, he has worked on numerous projects in the past, including optimizing the trading platform at Bloomberg, Buzzcrowd (Building democratic playlists by eliminating DJ's), and Social Media Analytics and Reporting Toolkit (S.M.A.R.T) under Visual Analytics for Command, Control, and Interoperability Environments (V.A.C.C.I.N.E) at Purdue. Kush is a graduate of Purdue University, where he was part of the Computer Science Honors program, with a double major in Mathematics and a minor in Statistics. He completed his graduation by taking Machine Intelligence, Systems Programming, and Computational Science & Engineering (CSE) tracks. During his time at Purdue, he worked on several projects, including making a Web Crawler, cleaning data and using different classifiers in Python, a Search Engine in Java, and using JDBC to create a course registration system for Faculty and Students. Kush's current research project focuses on large Distributed Systems and Data Analytics, which is a core part of his interest. He is proficient in various programming languages, including Python, Java, iOS, and Android. He has also worked with AWS, AWS Glue, Information Retrieval, NLP, and ML. Kush is a research scientist with a deep understanding of the infrastructure and has experience in Redis, Search, and other relevant technologies. In addition to his professional experience, Kush has also been a leader at Global Science Partners, a mentoring program designed to assist first-year students with their adjustment to their new academic and social environments at Purdue and the College of Science. Kush is a highly motivated individual who is always willing to learn and grow. He is passionate about his work and is always up for a cup of coffee to discuss his ideas and projects.
