Kyle McGough is a Software Engineer with a passion for building reliable distributed systems. He currently works as a Software Engineer II at digitalocean, where he is responsible for keeping their cloud storage healthy as part of the Storage Systems team. Kyle is a firm believer in everything open source and has submitted multiple patches to Ceph, an open source distributed storage system. Kyle's work at digitalocean includes developing automation and tooling for a broad variety of hardware/software combinations in Go, debugging shortcomings at every level of the stack, and contributing to the care and feeding of tens of the world's most utilized Ceph clusters. He is proficient in Go, C++, Python, Ceph, Linux, Ansible, and Chef. Before joining digitalocean, Kyle worked as a Software Engineer at clinicomp intl. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University San Marcos and completed his Associate's degree in Computer Science from Palomar College. With 2.45 years of relevant experience, Kyle is a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Ansible, Python, and other relevant technologies. He is a quick learner and always willing to take on new challenges. Kyle is a team player and enjoys collaborating with others to solve complex problems.
