Kyle McKiou is the Founder and CEO of Data Science Dream Job, a company that helps aspiring data scientists learn the skills, master the job search, and get their careers started in the industry. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Kyle has become an expert in teaching data scientists how to get jobs. Prior to starting Data Science Dream Job, Kyle worked as the Sr. Director of Data Science at The Marketing Store, North America, where he was responsible for the direction, development, and vision of the Data Science department. He planned, developed, and executed predictive marketing strategies across a variety of industry-leading brands, including McDonald's and the Nissan-Renault global partnership. He managed a team of data scientists and engineers, interfaced with clients to drive value through collaboration and empathetic innovation, and influenced and collaborated with multiple business stakeholders and agency offices to create and deliver predictive and prescriptive models, data-driven insights, and automated advanced-analytics products. Kyle also worked as a Manager of Data Analytics at Constellation Brands, where he leveraged data science and advanced analytics to drive increased beer sales at the fastest-growing major beer company in the US. He identified sales trends and market opportunities for leadership teams on key initiatives, created and maintained data-driven methodologies for sales processes, provided ongoing support for departments on how to leverage data science solutions for business problems, implemented new processes and technologies to improve collaboration and efficiency for data science teams, created a talent pipeline by introducing a data science intern program, and introduced data science and software engineering best practices to create a foundation for a rapidly-scalable, analytics-driven future. Kyle holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, where he also earned his Master's degree. He was a PhD Fellow in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics at The University of Texas. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Florida.
