Kyle P. is a Fullstack Developer with a penchant for frontend development. He is currently working as a Software Developer at Discord, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining features for the platform. Kyle has over 9 years of relevant experience in the tech industry and has worked with several companies in the past. As the Lead Engineer at Riff, Kyle was responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining all features of the livestreaming website. This included account management, broadcasting, VOD playback, live playback, chat/moderation, browse, web extensions, and mobile web experience. He used technologies such as React, Redux, NodeJS, WebRTC, HLS Streaming, Wowza, Google Cloud, and Heroku to build and maintain the platform. Kyle has also worked at Funemployed, where he explored side projects and shipped a modest iOS app for the Splatoon community. He even rode his bicycle from Seattle to San Diego during this time. Kyle has a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Information Internetworks from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also studied at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for a brief period.
