Lae Kettavong is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 15 years of experience in software development. He is an efficiency-minded developer with a focus on process improvement and realization of cost savings. Lae is committed to identifying opportunities to streamline processes through knowledge sharing and documentation. He is a full-stack developer with expertise in storage solutions, solution generation, and process improvement. Lae is committed to learning innovative technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of the game. Lae has a strong technical proficiency in Java, RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL Server, PostgreSQL), RESTful APIs, Node.js, ES6+, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. He is Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer, and Node.js Master Class certified. Lae has also contributed to several open-source projects, including creating Aire-checker, Aire-console, and Aire-faker. Currently, Lae works as a Senior Software Engineer at Trellis, where he is moving fast and building great software. Previously, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Sharp Notions, LLC, where he led a team of three software engineers in day-to-day responsibilities and provided direction and technical guidance in achieving company objectives. During his sabbatical, Lae pursued continuing education in Node.js stack, ES6+, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, NoSQL, AWS, containerized development/Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and software architecture. He also volunteered as a board member of a college scholarship foundation, advocating higher education, and as a member-at-large of a local mountain bike and trail stewardship advocacy group. Lae has a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Criminal Justice from Rochester Institute of Technology.
