Laksh Singla is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, with a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals. He is a Software Engineer at Imply, where he is responsible for developing scalable and maintainable systems. He has a hands-on experience in working with diversified technologies, in organizations of all scales. Laksh has completed internships at Confluent and Arcesium, where he delivered software with a visible impact, which is currently deployed into production. He contributed to Open Source as well. He has experience with coding in Java, C++, JS, and Python, with an emphasis on developing scalable and maintainable systems. Laksh has a good understanding of Kafka, Backend, test, Docker, and Integration. At Confluent, Laksh was responsible for the development of the Splunk connector handling S2S packets. He implemented important features for GA like parsing of timestamp, encrypting the connection with SSL, and adding support for Splunk acknowledgements. He also added a collection of test suites, automating the integration tests via Docker and testcontainers, to significantly reduce the development cycle. He developed an enterprise-ready offering aimed at customers looking to ingest data from Universal Forwarders to Confluent Platform.
