Lakshman Mariappan is an experienced User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Lead with a strong background in the information technology industry. With over 14 years of relevant experience, he is skilled in Interactive Design, Wireframe Prototyping, Front End Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript - Vue, React, Ember, NodeJS), UX Research, and Usability Engineering. Currently, Lakshman is serving as the User Experience Lead at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where he is responsible for creating, designing, and implementing user experiences/interfaces for the wholesale payments division. As the VP of Technology, he is a strong project management professional who is capable of creating different form prototyping from low, medium, high fidelity, and an MVP. Prior to his current role, Lakshman has worked as the Lead Software Engineer at nuts.com and the UX/UI Manager at Mastercard, where he gained expertise in front end web technologies (Vue, React, EmberJs) with a solid understanding of Accessibility best practices and Human Interface Guidelines. He has experience building native mobile (either iOS or Android) applications, Web & IOT. He is an expert in generating rapid prototype and iterate on prototypes built in code, as well as prototyping tools such as inVision, Framer, and Proto.io, etc. Lakshman is a practitioner and a creative problem solver with explicit attention to detail, especially in the areas of interaction design, mobile interaction patterns, and animation. He has been involved in different phases of UX/UI Research such as Analysis, Prototype & Qualitative/Quantitative Study (for both remote and in-house). He is also an innovator who has filled a couple of patents in the financial industry. Lakshman holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from Anna University and a Diploma in Information Technology from SCAD Polytechnic College.
