Lakshmi Narke is an incoming Masters of Computer Science student at UC Irvine, with a passion for building innovative and useful solutions to everyday problems. As a software engineer at Cisco, she has honed her skills in software development, cloud technologies, Git, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Lakshmi is highly detail-oriented and meticulous in understanding user space for a solution. She believes that a highly innovative solution might not be feasible if the target users cannot use it. Her participation in hackathons like Microsoft Codefundo and Walmart Spark plug has helped her adopt these practices and implement them effectively. Currently, Lakshmi works as a mentor at Masai School, where she helps students prepare for company interviews by focusing on data structures, algorithms, MERN stack, and competitive coding. Lakshmi has co-founded a company called Remoteprint.tools, where she worked on a graphical-based unified scripting tool for Customer Voice Portal (CVP) and Contact Centre Enterprise (CCE). She has also worked as a software engineer at Cisco, where she is currently engaged in the development of Real-Time Media Service. Her key role is in developing a media manager along with a call control application for the cloud contact centre platform. The tech stack includes FreeSwitch for calling, Kamilio, Quarkus framework of Java for core development of the platform, which are also hosted on the cloud using Kubernetes. Lakshmi holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering from RVCE, where she graduated in 2020. She has relevant experience of 2.68 years and is proficient in software engineering, Kubernetes, Spark, Java, ML, Microservices, and Kafka. With her exceptional skills and passion for innovation, Lakshmi is set to make remarkable contributions in the field of computer science.
