Lalit Kumar is a highly skilled Engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Member of Technical Staff at Salesforce, where he is responsible for working on Cloud technologies and has a good understanding of K8s/Docker/Chef/Jenkins/Kibana. Lalit is also familiar with C++/Python/Bash/Go and loves to automate stuff on Cloud. Prior to his current role, Lalit has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry, including IBM and Oracle. At IBM, he worked on containerizing a monolithic Django app for NLR reports and reduced the execution time for NG Jenkins job by 60% by using SVN instead of GIT for fetching reports. He also automated the whole report generation task integrated with Slack using python/GIT Rest API and removed dependency from the Operations team, thereby reducing the report generation time by over 95%. At Oracle, Lalit worked on Agile methodology and contributed to Cloud Native Environment-Oracle for applications to deploy using CI/CD workflows. He automated code for Identity Cloud Service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) using Chef, Python, and shell scripting. He optimized the Chef automation code by reducing the manual inputs for the Operations team by using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure metadata APIs. Lalit also installed & configured Distributed Replicated Block Device (DRBD) to increase the availability of data by network mirroring in Linux servers in Cluster networks in OCI. Lalit holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing, Jabalpur. He has a good understanding of Software Engineering, Salesforce, Python, Jenkins, Docker, Django, infra, and CI/CD. Apart from his technical skills, Lalit is an avid reader and loves to read a lot about Psychology. His motto is "Don't die before your death..!" and he lives by it.
