He is currently working as an Engineering Manager at slice, where he is responsible for leading the development of sustainable architecture and swift delivery of products. Lalit's expertise lies in building big data pipelines for ETL, anomaly detection, and search/indexing using technologies such as ElasticSearch, Spark, and Redis. He has a background in leading product development and has worked on evolving products to match customer demands, including improving latency, storage capacity, and re-architecting for 10x scale. Lalit has worked at some of the biggest names in the industry, including Microsoft and Grofers. At Microsoft, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer, where he led projects to improve the product's performance and scalability. His tech stack included ASP.Net for API development, various Substrate stores as databases, ElasticSearch for search/indexing, and React-Js for the frontend. At Grofers, Lalit worked as a Software Engineer, where he was responsible for building a pipeline for indexing data from various sources to use ElasticSearch for full-text search. Lalit is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he completed his B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science.
