Lalith Srinivas is a highly skilled Software Engineer with 2.19 years of relevant experience in designing and building normalized databases, developing APIs, and working on drone simulations. He is currently working as SDE II at Disney+ Hotstar, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining the platform's software infrastructure. Lalith completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 2021. Lalith has previously worked as a Lead Developer at Tensor Dynamics, where he designed and built a normalized database for geospatial and time-series data that could handle reads and writes of more than 100M rows every day. He also developed an API from scratch using Flask, allowing users to request data belonging to a particular location at a particular time. Additionally, Lalith developed a script that could read and parse compressed multi-dimensional geospatial data with around 10M data points and perform a complex insert into the database in less than 7.5 minutes, which was 5X faster than their existing algorithm. Before Tensor Dynamics, Lalith worked as an Engineer Intern at Vecros, where he worked on drone simulations using Unity3D. He developed two versions of drone simulations from scratch, allowing users to fly the drone around using keyboard keys and adjust the camera position and angle on the go. He also worked on research related to MAVLink messages and developed scripts that could send custom MAVLink messages, reducing bandwidth by cutting off unnecessary data and customizing messages from drone to GCS and vice versa. Lalith's tech stack includes software engineering, Flask, and research science. He is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills. Lalith's ability to develop complex software infrastructure and his experience in working on drone simulations make him an asset to any organization.
