Lasse Espeholt is a highly experienced Staff Research Engineer and Angel Investor with over 8 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Currently, Lasse is an Angel Investor at his own company, Lasse Espeholt, where he is interested in receiving decks related to machine learning, greentech and tech in general. Before becoming an Angel Investor, Lasse worked at Google Brain as a Staff Research Engineer, where he co-led the weather nowcasting project using deep learning. He was also the lead on large scale reinforcement learning and played an instrumental role in opening the Brain team in Amsterdam along with Nal Kalchbrenner and Tim Salimans. Prior to that, Lasse worked at DeepMind as a Senior Research Engineer, where he worked on multiple applied projects with high-profile teams in the Alphabet organization. He also worked on scaling machine learning, including reinforcement learning, to a very large number of machines. During his time at DeepMind, Lasse was involved in several published research projects, including machine translation and question answering. Lasse's educational background is in Computer Science, having completed his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees at Aarhus University. He also completed his HTX in Mathematics and Physics at Grenaa Technical School. Lasse's technical expertise includes being a Research Scientist, with a focus on Reinforcement Learning, ML, and Deep Learning.
