Lauren Lindsey is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently serving as the President of the Society of Women Engineers at LMU, she is responsible for setting long-term goals for the organization and leading bi-weekly general meetings of club members. Lauren also leads bi-weekly executive board meetings and effectively communicates with 8 other executive board members and faculty advisors. She plans annual SWE conference trip itinerary and travel plans in addition to on-campus social and professional events. Lauren has previously worked as a Software Engineering Intern at SAP, where she worked on the Digital Identity team to create an API that uses blockchain and mobile wallets to decentralize personally identifiable information and improve efficiency and cost of applying to jobs and making bank related transactions. She coded API endpoints in JavaScript to create connections with SAP and users via SMS and implemented a user database in JSON that collects data from all endpoints to manage user JSON file data and connection status. Lauren also wrote unit tests to verify status codes and responses for 8 different API endpoints and improved API documentation. Lauren has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google, where she implemented a filter to customize the Learn Assistant in Google Cloud Platform to suggest tutorials based off of user metrics. She submitted 3,446 lines of code in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and 3 other internal languages to the Google codebase towards completing her project and ensuring data type changes necessary for the project were compatible with preexisting code. Lauren also improved test coverage and wired data to tests to limit hardcoded data to increase efficiency for new tutorial additions. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Loyola Marymount University, where she pursued her education from 2017 to 2021.
