Lav Sharma is a seasoned Senior Software Development Engineer in Test with over 5.7 years of experience in Agile methodology, API automation (Rest assured), Selenium, TestNG, Java, JMeter, and database testing. He is currently working at Grab as an SDET (QA). Lav has a strong background in software engineering and has worked with various companies such as Paytm and Whatfix in the past. At Whatfix, Lav was responsible for handling the full ownership of the CCM POD. He wrote selenium scripts for creating scalable, maintainable, and distributed test frameworks/tools for continuous integration. He was also responsible for creating test cases, UAT test plans, test reports, and maintaining the POD defect density. Lav mentored junior QA for automation and product testing and contributed to test case derivation, effort estimation, and test cases review. He automated the existing feature in the next sprint cycle and contributed to API/Selenium automation framework. Lav also maintained good communication and kept all stakeholders informed about the work, including the automation team. He built competency within the CCM QA team by conducting technical training/knowledge sharing sessions about the product/process/project for new joiners across the project lifecycle. Lav was also responsible for diagnosing complex production issues, debugging, and RCA. He successfully tested the integration of Sundaram and Franklin Templeton and the NPS (National Pension Scheme) Sub-Product before the deadlines without any escalations. Lav automated the API for Sundaram and Franklin Templeton RTA (Remote Transfer Agent) and wrote multiple Selenium scripts for requesting the reverse feed for all the RTA's. He also wrote JMeter scripts to check the load and performance of API and microservice Backend testing Webservices, API, Kafka testing, DB testing.
