Layne Austin is a dynamic University Recruiting professional with a passion for connecting students to opportunities that will jumpstart their career. With over six years of relevant experience in the field, Layne has honed her skills in hiring and recruiting emerging talent. Currently, she serves as the Intern Recruiting Lead - Emerging Talent at Netflix, where she is responsible for hiring interns for the company. Layne is an enthusiastic career strategist and speaker, having worked with several organizations, including OneReq, URx, MBA Schooled, Student Career Studio, Tech Pod, and In Her Shoes Movement. She is also a proud member of the LGBT+ community and is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In her previous role as a URx Community Organizer in San Francisco, Layne worked to build a diverse and inclusive workforce for everyone. She supported a community of passionate recruiters, talent developers, and employer brand marketers making an impact at the entry points of the workforce. Layne also worked as an MBA Recruiter at Salesforce, where she managed everything MBA and received the "Recruiting Comet" award in FY22Q1. Layne holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies from San Francisco State University, and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Communication, General from Sierra College. She also studied International Media and Communications at Uppsala universitet. Layne's tech stack includes Salesforce, and she has relevant experience of 6.52 years.
