Layne Faler is a senior software engineer with a passion for science, math, and technology. With almost 6 years of relevant experience, Layne is an autonomous problem solver who loves to know how things work. He is language agnostic and always uses the best tool for the job, with syntax not being a barrier. He has also worked with TrueCar, Inc. as a senior software engineer, where he refactored how pricing is stored in Rails API and rebuilt how pricing is visualized on the Node.js/React frontend. He has also demonstrated leadership in executing product goals as a team and dividing tasks to meet deadlines. Layne has contributed to frontend React and backend Rails architecture goals to keep teams organized with legacy codebases. He has also worked with AppliedVR as a full-stack engineer, where he built push notifications and an achievement/analytic system with a universal API in Rails with HIPAA compliance. Layne built a dashboard in Node.js, server-side React & Redux to remotely control all VR products & content remotely. He also built in-house scaffolding tools for the Rails API and Node.js/React dashboard for clean, efficient, unison code.
