He has a strong academic and early-stage startup background, which has equipped him with a diverse skillset. Currently, Leandro is working at The Climate Corporation as a Senior Manager, Foundational Science Modeling. In his current role, he is creating the future of sustainable agriculture with machine learning. Leandro has an impressive track record of leading data science teams and building recommendation engines using multimodal deep learning methods. He led the data science team at WhyLabs, where he worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. At Bungee Tech, he was the Head of Data Science and led the team that built and deployed a recommendation engine for matching millions of products. Leandro's educational background is in Theoretical Physics, where he obtained his Ph.D. from Stony Brook University in 2010 and a B.S. in Physics from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2001. He has also acquired expertise in various technologies such as Python, AI, Deep Learning, C, Research Scientist, OpenCV, CI/CD, test, and Docker. With over 12.70 years of relevant experience, Leandro is an expert in his field. He has a passion for creating innovative solutions that make a positive impact on society.
