Leanne Tite is a Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in building web-based applications across the JS stack with Typescript, ES+, React, and server-side JS including REST and GraphQL. She has worked across a range of sectors including FinTech, banking, eCommerce, retail, publishing, and media, in start-ups and transnational corporations. Leanne is skilled in all aspects of application delivery from project planning, application design and architecture, build, test, performance, and refactoring. Currently, Leanne is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Tesco, one of the world's largest retailers of consumer goods from food to fashion. She is rebuilding the software that runs on every till in all Tesco stores, building custom, multi-experience, multi-platform, network-limited till interface applications, working up to full feature parity with NCR till software. In her past roles, Leanne has worked as a Senior Software Consultant at Mendeley, a technology company that builds digital tools for researchers and academics. She delivered a new javascript-based client application for a greenfield academic search platform for Mendeley. She architected the full javascript application stack from scratch to build a self-contained micro-frontend, using Express to render domain-based page templates and rendering a single-page application providing a fast user experience, with shareable page-refresh state persistence. She also built a custom GraphQL server layer to delegate interaction with search, catalogue, and entitlement APIs to provide a clean, fast BFF client API. Her technologies include Typescript, ES+, Node/Express, GraphQL, React, React-Apollo, Storybook, CSS-in-JS, and Jest. Leanne has also worked as a Senior Javascript Consultant at Open Banking, where she rebuilt the application backend from a REST-style API to a GraphQL API using Express GraphQL and GraphQL Tools. She rewrote the client-side of the application to transact with the GraphQL server using React-Apollo. Additionally, she migrated UI components out of the application into a custom Storybook component library to allow faster and decoupled development and achieving +95% unit test coverage in the library.
