Leigh Grey-Smith is a Lead User Experience Designer, User Researcher, Information Architect, and Service Designer with over 15 years of tech and design experience. Her multifaceted skill set enables efficient and holistic solutions that are intuitively usable and easy to implement. She specializes in evidence-driven user experience and digital transformation for innovative companies. Currently, Leigh is working as the User Experience Lead at Conversion Digital, a highly successful software development agency based in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, she introduced UX into the software company via hands-on UX delivery, training, and mentoring. She developed and performed an in-depth training program, rapidly upskilling the existing design team to lead and complete complex user interface projects. This resulted in increased UX capacity, team development, and a new revenue stream for the company. Leigh's past experience includes working as the Head of UX and Digital Strategy at myGov, where she was responsible for co-ordinating large scale qualitative and quantitative research initiatives into whole of government citizen segmentation. She also developed to-market strategies for the integration of digital identity to federal government services and led the thinking and development of the ‘Strategic Framework’ for myGov Branch. She has also worked as a Lead User Experience Designer, Research and Information Architect at iSelect, where she was engaged to rethink the navigation architecture to allow users to clearly see what other products and services iSelect offered. Leigh developed an approach that would allow hundreds of everyday customers and non-customers to define key elements of the architecture via online card sorting activities. Leigh has a relevant experience of 17.53 years and holds a degree from the Victorian College of the Arts and the University of Melbourne.
