Liam Li is an accomplished machine learning scientist with a passion for using data to solve complex problems. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Liam is an expert in the field of AutoML, large-scale deep learning, and ML Ops. Currently serving as a Master Technologist (Machine Learning) at determined ai, which was recently acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company in 2021, Liam is responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge ML solutions. Liam's expertise in AutoML is demonstrated by his extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art methods in neural architecture search and hyperparameter optimization. He has strong research experience, as evidenced by several publications in top-tier conferences and journals. Prior to his current role, Liam worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, where he conducted research in hyperparameter optimization and AutoML. He also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google, where he gained valuable experience in the industry. Liam holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning, as well as a Master of Science (MS) in the same field, both from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Math from Caltech and attended Stuyvesant High School.
