Liangliang Cao is a highly experienced Research Scientist, AI expert, and Senior Software Engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google, where he is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end speech recognition for cloud customers. He is also involved in developing Speech2Text on-premise/Anthos solutions. Liangliang is a tech lead and manager at Google, and he is actively involved in the development of the Google-Verizon Call Center AI solution. Before joining Google, Liangliang worked as a Visiting Researcher and Research Associate Professor at UMass. He was also the Co-Founder and CTO of Hello Vera aka Switi.inc, where he revolutionized customer service with artificial intelligence. Liangliang has been nominated for the Graham Bell Award for Best Communication Solution SPIFFY Award, and his company was selected as one of the "New York's Hottest AI Start-Ups". Liangliang holds a PhD in ECE from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master's degree in Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Electronic Engineering and Information Science from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
