Likhesh Rathod is a Principal Engineer at Zapr Media Labs, a fast-growing media-tech startup that handles terabytes of data and processes billions of messages per day. With over 10 years of experience, he has expertise in designing and implementing solutions, solving problems, mentoring new joiners, conducting interviews, and providing production support and monitoring. In his current role, Likhesh has been exposed to Zapr's Rich Data Pipeline, which is built on top of AWS stack and integrated with various technologies and frameworks. He has worked on various projects covering reliability and quality of data, gaining hands-on experience with technologies like Netty Server, Supervisor, Apache Flume, Apache Airflow, GraphQL, Spark, PalDB, RocksDB, Graphite, Graphana, Nagios, and more. Prior to Zapr, Likhesh worked with Peoplehum, where he gained expertise in Java, Spring boot, Elastic Search, Mongo, Kafka+Zookeeper, Hibernet, Storm, Spark, MySQL, Redis, Oracle, MySQL Tomcat, JMeter, H2 DB, Fongo, and other technologies. In an earlier role, he worked on solving multiple problems and building new features for an e-commerce company. He developed a catalog system that crawled data from multiple sources, transformed unstructured data to structured data, and created a Pristine Catalog. He also wrote an algorithm to automatically suggest the mapping of existing duplicate products in the system catalog. Likhesh's first job out of college was with a company where he worked for almost five years, actively involved in developing various features for the world's top SaaS platform for MDM (Mobile Device Management). He gained extensive experience with Java, Spring, Oracle, Rest APIs, Tomcat, JMeter, Sinatra, JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, EasyMock, and more. Likhesh's education includes a Master's Degree in Computer Science from VIT.
