Linda Nguyen is a highly motivated MS Software Engineering student at San Jose State University with a passion for full-stack development and microservice technologies. She recently completed an internship at Claris, where she worked on a variety of challenging projects in a microservice environment. Linda's main project involved working on the devops and cloud infrastructure side, where she extended the team's internal Golang Cobra CLI tool to support MongoDB management, allowing frontend teams and QA engineers to quickly snapshot the state of their database and switch between different environments seamlessly. Linda has also worked as a Software Engineer at SS8 Networks, where she collaborated with other engineers to collect traces, logs, and alarms during E2E testing to debug failure points. In addition, she frequently used Wireshark to analyze packet content to ensure that the data format aligned with the functional specifications. Linda also helped configure and test with Ansible Tower to automate the software upgrade process, which effectively reduced upgrade time by 1-2 hours. As a Robotics Coding Instructor at Makaboom, Linda worked with 1st-4th grade classes at Challenger's after-school programs and summer camp. She worked with other instructors to iteratively improve the course material based on the students' experience and feedback. Linda primarily focused on teaching students how to block program in javascript and push their code to a micro:bit (microcontroller). Linda's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from San Jose State University, where she is expected to graduate in December 2022. Linda's technical skills include Software Engineering, Microservices, test, CI/CD, qa, Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, Spring, DevOps, ui, Frontend, infra, Ansible, and Javascript. With 1.69 years of relevant experience, Linda is currently seeking full-time opportunities for Winter/Spring 2022, while continuing to learn more about the full-stack development life cycle and microservice technologies.
