Liny Chandran is an experienced Data Scientist with a career spanning almost two decades. Her expertise lies in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide solutions for Data Science problems across various domains. She has extensive experience in predictive analytics, translation models, and MLOps in GCP. Liny has a track record of creating innovative solutions to complex problems. She developed an 'Automated Subtitle' generator for a media entertainment company using GCP AutoML translation service and Python. This project improved the accuracy of subtitles, making it easier for viewers to enjoy their favorite shows and movies. In addition, Liny generated an MLOps model using GCP AI Platform pipelines and Python coding to automate manual steps in a Machine Learning project. She also created a predictive maintenance model for a manufacturing company that predicts machine failures using time series history data. Currently, Liny works as a Staff Engineer at VMware, where she designs and builds an ETL framework to load terabytes of data from relational databases to distributed data stores without performance issues. She received two patents for exploring new features in the database, including Event-based analytics and Trigger-based analytics. Liny also leads and mentors a team of 15 people and was selected as a Mentor in GHCI (Grace Hopper) 2018 to motivate other women in the industry. Liny has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Galaxe.Solutions and KBACE Technologies Limited. She holds a PG Certification in Data Science from INSOFE and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from the University of Calicut.
