Lionel Brahami is an experienced Engineering Manager with expertise in video playback engineering, tooling, and automation. He has a strong background in audio and video streaming, mobile applications, payment systems, smartcards, and web/information systems. With over 26 years of relevant experience, Lionel is passionate about building great software and leading talented development teams. Lionel is currently based in China and is open to relocation worldwide. He has extensive experience leading cross-culture software development teams of various technical levels, from product specification/design to customer delivery and support. He is skilled in software engineering, project management, agile development environments with Scrum and Continuous Integration (jira, jenkins, git/svn, ...), and has a strong focus on code quality. Lionel is hands-on with management and coding, and is proficient in Python, Java, GoLang/Javascript/BOOTSTRAP, C/C++, Android, and Linux. He is also experienced in Javacard, PBOC, EMV, MCHIP, and ISO8583. Lionel has worked with several reputable companies in the past, including Hulu and Verifone. At Hulu, he led a team of bright and talented engineers to develop the Hulu media player on Web, Chromecast, and Android platforms. He played with DASH and HLS, mainly in JavaScript on different browsers and systems. At Verifone, Lionel managed and led software development teams across different countries in Asia, transforming and aligning all software development practices over the region with a strong focus on Scrum process and code quality. He also set up a "Center of Excellence" in Bangalore and successfully offshore product development of critical customers. Lionel holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from enseirb-matmeca and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Université de Bordeaux. He also completed a Business Chinese-Advanced program at the University of International Business and Economics.
