Lithin Thomas is a highly skilled Full Stack Developer and Programming Enthusiast with over 13 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Grab, where he manages a large infrastructure of Kafka servers, Zookeeper nodes, Kubernetes clusters, data connectors & pipelines, CI/CD systems, and other applications on AWS. He is proficient in using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and has overseen projects to introduce authentication and authorization in Kafka broker-client communications. Lithin has also developed microservices written in Golang, including a federated search API, a service for home screen widgets, and a Help Center automation. Prior to his current role, Lithin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at WebEngage, where he co-led the rewrite of the Web SDK and was the engineering lead for the browser push notifications offering. He has also built and maintained Node.js systems, some of which were Express.js servers with considerable web traffic, while others were event processors consuming from Kafka. Additionally, he contributed to the customer dashboard’s revamp, re-implementing screens and functionality on a SPA with React & Redux. Lithin has also worked as a Senior Application Consultant at Vistaar Technologies, where he started out as a support engineer and worked across the spectrum, from code fixes and troubleshooting system integrations to building ETL pipelines, application rollouts, server maintenance, data analysis & correction. He led the development of a R-OLAP engine over Oracle RDBMS, implemented in RhinoJS to work over a specialized partitioned data storage scheme. He also built interactive UI like complex CRUD screens, calculators, reports, etc. in Microsoft Excel with VBA.
