Lohit Vankineni is a skilled software engineer with over 4 years of progressive experience in software programming and full-stack development. Currently working at Apple as a Software Engineer, Lohit has a rich understanding of various programming languages such as Java, Node JS, Python, Typescript, and SQL. He specializes in designing Rest APIs, database analysis and design, and building responsive web apps. Prior to joining Apple, Lohit worked at Visa as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer where he was responsible for developing VIP Software Library Management System (SLiMS) and converting an existing monolithic Java Spring backend server application into a distributed microservices architecture. He also worked on the full stack of an Angular 6 web application for a dynamically customizable questionnaire using a newly created microservice as the backend Rest API. Lohit's experience also includes working as a Software Engineer Intern at Visa where he developed software enhancements for Visa’s VIP authorization department responsible for processing card transactions. He programmed C++ applications for their production authorization system that accepts and declines transactions and created a database tool with Java and SQL that displays monitoring statistics for all VISA databases in authorization. Lohit holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering from the California State Polytechnic University.
