Lokesh Chauhan is a seasoned technocrat with over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer at ErosNow, where he leads the technology team in developing large-scale technology platforms covering OTT, fintech, foodtech, delivery, payments, and e-commerce. Lokesh has a successful entrepreneurial background, having co-founded Plustxt, a secure chat platform catering to Indian local language needs, which was later acquired by Paytm in 2013. During his time at Plustxt, he was responsible for architecting and building the platform to support a large-scale concurrent user base with instant message delivery. Prior to ErosNow, Lokesh held senior technology leadership roles at Zomato, Paytm, Craftsvilla, and Webaroo. At Zomato, he overhauled the online ordering backend and streamlined chains integration. At Craftsvilla, he built a world-class team and led the architectural revamp of the Android app and introduction of the iOS app with a new API platform. He also architected the AngularJS web app to decouple and streamline the checkout flow with a rich user experience, resulting in a 40% improvement in conversions. Additionally, he partially built a microservices architecture to revamp the underlying technology stack and architected data infrastructure and intelligence solutions using pluggable components from AWS. Lokesh's key strengths lie in building SOA architecture with high scalability, real-time services, and adopting new open-source technologies. He has extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and multiple CDNs for low latency delivery of static and dynamic content. Lokesh graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering in 2005. He also attended Modern Senior Secondary School in Kota for high school. His tech stack includes senior software engineering, infrastructure, integration, AWS, iOS, microservices, search, web, Android, and AngularJS. With over 16 years of relevant experience, Lokesh is a thought leader with experience in strategic planning, product scoping, team building, and planning scaling with architecture decisions.
