Lokesh Dafale is a Software Engineer II at ByteDance, with a passion for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. With 3.78 years of relevant experience, Lokesh is driven by challenging tasks and enjoys solving problems using AI. Currently, Lokesh works as a Computer Vision Engineer at ByteDance, where he is responsible for developing different deep learning models for image segmentation, artifact removal, and image enhancement for 2D/3D images. He also improvises learning capabilities of the models using various techniques like data augmentation, hyperparameter tuning, real-world display simulations, etc. In addition, Lokesh builds software pipelines for synthetic data generation and preprocessing, and transforms learning models from one framework to another for deployment purposes. Before joining ByteDance, Lokesh worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung, where he worked on various deep learning models for image segmentation, artifact removal, and image enhancement for 2D/3D images. He also improvised learning capabilities of the models using various techniques like data augmentation, hyperparameter tuning, real-world display simulations, etc. Lokesh holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He also has a background in Information Technology and Science from Lal Bahadur Shastri Jr. College and Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidyalaya, respectively.
