Lokesh Ponnada is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working at Facebook as a Software Engineer, contributing to the company's mission of bringing the world closer by making the app better. Lokesh has a strong background in Android development, having worked as an Android Developer at qvady technologies in the past. During his tenure there, he removed hardware controller dependency for first time device setup using BLE on both Android & IOS, customized AOSP to include the company's branding, apps, and other requirements, and developed apps for OnBoarding, Launcher, Wifi Setup, Data sharing, among other things. He also developed sdks to monitor the heart rate through a fitness tracker, interact and perform tasks (download/install/update of apks), and prepared an initial hiring strategy for the company. Prior to joining Facebook, Lokesh worked as a Software Engineer at Rivigo, where he was involved in developing some major components in the app, including location detection and update, design and implementation of reusable widget for location autocomplete, and automated Android instrumentation testing for handling device/version/resolution specific problems.
