Lokesh Shekar is a technology talent alchemist with over twelve years of experience in talent acquisition, strategy, and management. He has acquired this experience from product/platform development, retail, e-commerce, investment banking, and fin-tech firms. Lokesh has led talent functions for incubating engineering CoEs, executive hiring, business partnering, org design, and university relations. Currently, Lokesh is the Talent Acquisition Leader at Uber, where he is leading the TA function for Uber's Infra, Data, Compute Engineering, Search, and Ad-Tech eco-system across APAC. In his previous role as the Talent Acquisition Manager at PayPal, Lokesh led the Global Talent Acquisition function for Business verticals (Tech, Product, and Corporate) along with Business Partnering, Executive Hiring, and Advisory charters. Lokesh has also served as a Partner, HR at Tesco, where he led the Talent Acquisition team of recruiters and search specialists along with an advisory portfolio for Tech and Product BU’s for India and the UK to help identify niche talent to transform TESCO’s core engineering ecosystem. Lokesh has a Master of Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Gitam Deemed University. He is passionate about technology, system design & architecture, mind mapping, all things TA, photography, and Xbox One X. Lokesh also takes pride in translating the engineering ecosystem into real-life examples, hosting learning sessions educating the TA community to decipher technology and science behind it. With over 10.45 years of relevant experience, Lokesh is a seasoned talent acquisition leader with a proven track record of driving successful talent acquisition strategies and programs across various industries. He is skilled in search, infra, data scientist, microservices, and ML. Lokesh is a true sense of accomplishment to himself, from taking the first Uber ride to leading a TA team at Uber.
