M S Vignesh is a skilled Data Engineer with a passion for making a positive impact on people's lives. He has extensive experience in SQL, Data Warehousing, Big Data Engineering, Algorithms, and Software Development. Vignesh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from SSN College of Engineering. Currently, Vignesh works as a Software Engineer 2 at PayPal, where he is part of the PEAK Team. He is responsible for building and migrating existing Data Marts to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). He is also a core team member of the Global Innovation Tournament (GIT) 2021, where he helped formulate rules and timelines for the tournament. Additionally, Vignesh volunteered as an Ambassador, Course Content and Assessment test Problem Setter for the Bloom With PayPal Initiative launched in 2021, which aims to train 500+ female engineering graduates from India. Previously, Vignesh worked as a Data Engineer at PayPal, where he was part of the PEAK Team. He was responsible for building and maintaining Data Pipelines, Data Marts from Data Warehouses, used for Financial Reporting, Analytics, and powering Critical Executive Dashboards. He won the Star of the Quarter award in Q3, 2020, and the Spot Award in September 2020 for executing the Merchant Budget Segmentation Process of 2020 aimed at segmenting the PayPal Merchants into categories for Forecasting & Budgeting. He also won the second place in the innovation contest conducted within the Finance & Analytical Data Services Org, Codefest 2020, for presenting a working solution that redesigned the data pipeline to process data in Hadoop rather than Teradata, thereby bringing down the Year End Tax Statement Processing time from ~18 days to 1 day. Before joining PayPal, Vignesh worked as a Software Development Intern at TCS. He worked on building a mobile application that helps in creating a seamless experience in participating and managing conferences within an organization. Vignesh has a diverse Tech Stack that includes Data Engineering, Software Engineer, SQL, Big Data, test, GCP, Hadoop, ETL, and Mobile.
