Madhur Gupta is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in finance, mathematics, computer science, and physics. Currently pursuing an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Madhur has a keen interest in developing machine learning models, analytics, and cloud-based solutions. Madhur has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Microsoft and Goldman Sachs. At Microsoft, he developed analytics and cloud-based solutions for global trade finance tools and an Office 365 product with over 35 million subscribers. At Goldman Sachs, he interned in their Strats/Quant division, where he developed machine learning models to detect front-running risk across various asset classes. His exceptional performance during the internship earned him a pre-placement offer (PPO). Madhur holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Thapar University, Patiala, India. He also secured the highly prestigious CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) fellowship to do his final year thesis in the Fundamental Computer Science Laboratory of Aix-Marseille University, France. During his engineering, he was selected for the Indian Academy of Sciences’ Summer Research Fellowship for research internship at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (TIFR). Madhur has worked directly with doctoral students of legendary Turing Laureates, including Prof. Edsger W. Dijkstra and Prof. Richard M. Karp. He is a research scientist and has relevant experience of 3.61 years. Outside of work, Madhur enjoys reading, playing and watching cricket, shopping, and cooking. He is also the subject representative of economics and statistics courses and is elected 1/2 of 70+ students, serving as a liaison between faculty and students at IIMB.
