Mahendra Hegde is a skilled Software Development Engineer currently working as an intern at Amazon. He is responsible for designing and developing end-to-end systems to predict delivery slots for Amazon Fresh customers based on historical data. This project will help in faster item checkout and improve overall shopping experience. He has also created an application using AWS services to transform and store huge amounts of streaming data. Mahendra has implemented a prediction application on top of Amazon REST services and integrated the prediction system with the Amazon Fresh website. Prior to his current role, Mahendra worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Mobile Internet Technology Group. He was responsible for developing an automation framework and automating 4G/3G call flows and functional test cases using Python, TCL, and Expect scripts. He also tested various Cisco gateways, including HSGW, PDN Gateway, CxGW, and DXGW. He also worked on the design and implementation of the internal customer LAB network. Mahendra also worked as a Software Development Intern at Cisco Security Technology Group-NAT/Firewall division, where he developed SNMP MIB support for NAT on Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance product using C/C++ and performed unit testing. Mahendra holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Engineering. He has relevant experience of 8.86 years and is proficient in Software Engineering, AWS, testing, Mobile, Python, and C.
