Mahendra L Seervi is an experienced Automation and Robotics Engineer with a passion for designing and developing new products that can help people in their daily lives. He is currently working at botsync as a Robotics Engineer, where he is responsible for developing autonomous mobile robots using artificial intelligence and robot operating system (ROS). Mahendra has also coded autonomous docking for mobile robots and is currently handling the complete product of volta robot, a batch of 20 robots. Before joining botsync, Mahendra worked at Cell Propulsion as an Engineer for Vehicle Autonomy. There, he designed and fabricated a two-wheel differential drive rover for prototyping and programmed the electronics and control system for cruise and pose control of the rover. He also worked on the deployment of reinforcement learning algorithms on the rover, both on simulation (Gazebo) and on the physical rover. Prior to that, he worked at Fanuc India as a Robot System Engineering GET, where he gained exposure to the shop floor and supported robot installation and commissioning. Mahendra holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Automation and Robotics from B V B College of Engg. & Technology, Hubli. He also completed his pre-university education in PCME from St. Joseph's PU College, Bangalore, and his Karnataka State board education from Anekal Public School, Bangalore. Mahendra's technical expertise includes mobile, artificial intelligence, and reinforcement learning. He is passionate about working on robotic systems operated using artificial intelligence and ROS and loves to design and develop new products that can make a positive impact on society.
