Malhar Chaudhari is a Principal Engineer at Oracle with over 5 years of experience in the tech industry. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, where he worked extensively on Big Data Systems for Machine Learning. Malhar's research paper from this time was awarded the Best Paper Award at Sigmetrics 2021 and was recently published in the ACM Communication's 75th Publication. Malhar started his journey at Oracle's Fusion Analytics Cloud Warehouse as a Founding Engineer, working within a small team of developers owning various major areas of the product. He learned various aspects of hiring and mentoring a quickly growing team and filed three patents related to automatically identifying underlying core factors for change in customer chosen KPIs. His next challenge was building the Netsuite Analytics Warehouse, where he expanded his role from software development to becoming a project lead and developing business domain knowledge. He gained considerable experience in project management by breaking large goals into smaller consumable tasks and prioritizing them within the context of available resources. Malhar led a small team of developers to develop the complete cloud solution for Netsuite within six months for limited availability. Both Fusion Analytics Warehouse and Netsuite Analytics Warehouse have helped Oracle Analytics strategy to be recognized as a market leader by Gartner. Both these products also have a consistently growing list of enterprise customers. Malhar's current professional challenge is working on scaling the Oracle Content Management solution from customers working with a few thousand document assets to millions of assets under management. This project has given him experience in developing solutions within a different stage of the product's lifecycle while maintaining continuity of the existing features. Besides his work at Oracle, Malhar is also the Co-Lead for the Founders Community of CMU T&E Alumni Community. He works with high caliber CMU alumni founders who are building the next generation of startups to deliver the highest value from the existing network of CMU Ecosystem. Malhar's tech stack includes software engineering, machine learning, big data, research scientist, and search.
