Mallipeddi Rajesh is a Co-Founder and CTO at farmersMandi, where he is revolutionizing the way farmers interact with the market. He is responsible for building a marketplace platform where farmers can sell directly to retailers, ensuring a fair value for the farmer's produce, and re-imagining the entire supply chain around the farmer for a better farming eco-system. Rajesh's focus is on ensuring efficiency right from procurement of the produce from the farmers, handling of the stock at the warehouses, planning of the logistics, to delivery of the items to the retailers. Rajesh has 18.53 years of relevant experience in the industry. Prior to his current role, he worked as a Senior Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering at redBus, where he handled Product & Engineering for B2B product line of redBus. He scaled the YourBus tech platform from tracking 200 buses to almost 90% of the private buses in India, introduced 3 different types of tracking which would vary depending on the route configuration, GPS data quality, and boarding points configured. He also rolled out Wake-up call alarm, which wakes up the passengers few mins before his arrival stop, and launched redBus Now, which allows users to book bus tickets in the last minute by looking at the buses current live-location. Rajesh has worked on multiple teams across various verticals and has managed a team of 50+ including TLs, EMs, and Engineering Director. He has also received the Innovation award from Naspers Limited as part of the Tech/Business conference Nasper holds every year around the world.
