Manas Nair is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University pursuing a Master's degree in Information Security. He currently works as an Information Security Consultant at ermprotect, where he has gained experience in ethical hacking and pentesting practices. Manas has worked on commonly used open source pentesting tools like BurpSuite, Dirbuster, nmap, and Metasploit, and has also gained knowledge of practices followed in pentesting scenarios. Prior to joining ermprotect, Manas worked as a Software Engineer Intern at angelgrad, where he was responsible for developing a backend architecture from scratch for an events module for the AngelGrad platform. He used NestJS platform written in Typescript and Sequelize as an ORM to develop the backend. Manas has also worked as an Intern at Juniper Networks as part of their University Talent Program, where he was responsible for testing and automation for Juniper Networks' Containerized Routing Protocol Daemon (cRPD). Manas has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from PES University, and he will be graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in December 2021 with a Master's degree in Information Security. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in Backend, Software Engineering, Typescript, and testing. Manas has 2.68 years of relevant experience and is passionate about leveraging his skills to secure systems and protect data.
