Manikandan Kaliyappan is a highly skilled Tech Lead with over 10 years of experience in the field of Frontend Development. He has a passion for creating clean, elegant, and user-friendly solutions to business challenges and is obsessed with building user interfaces that have a positive impact on people. Manikandan started his career as a Junior Frontend Developer and within two and a half years was given the opportunity to lead a team of 10 responsible for building views and templates of B2B and E-Commerce web portals. He then went on to build UI components using Atomic Design for PayPal's Marketing web pages. Currently, he is building the premiere eBook experience for professionals worldwide called Proview with Thomsonreuters. Manikandan's specialties include JavaScript, React.js, Redux, Angular 2+, SASS, LESS, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Node.js, Aurelia.js, MongoDB, Git, Docker, PWA, Responsive Web Design, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, and Web Vitals. He is currently working as a Tech Lead at Tech Mahindra and has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at both Tech Mahindra and PayPal. At Tech Mahindra, Manikandan was responsible for migrating and enhancing Proview's legacy application written in Aurelia to a refined, improved, and performant Single Page Application with PWA capabilities using Angular. He also integrated with third-party services and APIs as part of the implementation of My Data Privacy System, which improved and simplified the process flow of PII data requests made by customers. Additionally, he increased room booking rates by incorporating a feature of splitting a single booking itinerary into multiple user profiles for hospitality and gaming giant MGM Grand Inc., Las Vegas. During his time at PayPal, Manikandan worked on the 'PAYPAL INDIA DOMESTIC' project which was launched in 2017. He migrated the web pages from Dust.js, CSS to React.js, LESS, HTML5 with continuous integration. He also created reusable components with custom configuration using React.js with ES6 and reviewed the code while conducting knowledge sharing sessions for the team on code standards and best practices. Manikandan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Mailam Engineering College/Anna University. He also has a Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate in Mathematics from Government Higher Secondary School, Pudukuppam. Overall, Manikandan is a highly experienced and skilled Tech Lead with
