Manjesh Malavalli is a Technical Lead at Twilio Inc. with over 11 years of experience in software development, including 5 years in a high-pressure startup environment. He is well-versed in client-side web technologies, including browser extensions, and has extensive experience in developing live video applications using WebRTC on both client and server-side. Currently, Manjesh is leading the team responsible for Twilio's Programmable Video JavaScript SDK. He also fixed Firefox-specific issues in Twilio's Programmable Video JavaScript SDK and implemented new features for the SDK, including media bandwidth limits and media codec preferences. Before joining Twilio, Manjesh worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ask Partner Network (APN, LLC), where he was in charge of the Browser Extensions team. In this role, he mentored and guided team members, assisted them in their tasks, and managed their available time during sprint planning. He was also responsible for managing the Ask Toolbar Platform, including feature additions, widget creation and management, and maintaining and updating the Toolbar extension build system. Manjesh designed and developed the Olympus Extension Platform, which enables the maintenance of one extension codebase, developed for Chrome, and provides an environment for the same codebase to run on Firefox as well. He also designed and developed the Landing Page Platform, using ReactJS, Flux, and Webpack. Manjesh holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Science from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore.
