Manoj Soni is a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently, he is working at Cadence Design Systems as a C++ developer for features in Floor Planning algorithms. Prior to this, he worked at Samsung as a Lead Engineer where he gained extensive experience in OTT native apps and Machine Learning for video streaming using Deep and Reinforcement Learning. At Samsung, Manoj was responsible for the selection of bitrates and video chunk download in a video streaming session using Deep Reinforcement Learning for Dash and HLS streaming engines. He used a3c reinforcement learning algorithm and TensorFlow and Python for training, hyperparameter tuning, and experimentation. He also analyzed data for country-wise customer video streaming sessions for apps in which their model was applied. Manoj prepared POCs for other algorithms as per different research papers and compared their solution with a2c and PPO algorithms. In addition, Manoj was responsible for SDK integration, DPI (Device Platform Interface) development of Amazon SDKs on different chipsets of Samsung TV. He managed application behavior as per third-party requirements and met their benchmarks. He was responsible for getting Prime video app certified within deadlines by Amazon, every year for all Samsung TV chipsets. He also resolved QA issues, market crashes reported by both Samsung and Amazon teams. He traveled to Samsung Korea for commercialization. Manoj holds a B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication from N.I.T. Hamirpur. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Reinforcement Learning, ML, Python, AI, Senior Software Engineering, Research Scientist, TensorFlow, Mobile, QA, UI, Integration, Deep Learning, NLP, Neural Networks, and Backend.
