Manpreet Singh Gill is an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test with a strong background in software testing and quality assurance. With over four years of industry experience, Manpreet has been involved in multiple stages of software testing, including requirements analysis, test strategy creation, test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting. He has also worked on automating test cases with technologies such as Selenium and Watir. Currently, Manpreet is working as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer at qasource, where he is responsible for writing and modifying test cases in compliance with the enhancements of the functionality and change requests. He has researched and evaluated the feasibility of application features for automation testing and created, updated, and maintained test scripts using Selenium WebDriver along with Perl. Additionally, he has created a testing framework based on the Page object Model for client's applications. In his past roles at qasource, Manpreet worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer and an Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer. In these roles, he was responsible for maintaining and upgrading all procedures, processes, repositories, test cases, and test execution records for every sprint/release cycle. He was also responsible for web application testing, including GUI Testing, Integration, Regression, and Exploratory testing. He worked on tools like JIRA and Bugzilla for defects reporting and regression and performed performance testing using Jmeter. Manpreet holds a Graduate Certificate in Software Quality Assurance and Test Engineering from Conestoga College and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Chitkara University.
