Manu Gopinath is a highly experienced Senior Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the computer software industry. He is currently working at Jifflenow as a Senior Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer, where he is the primary owner of one or many production services for the rapidly growing Jifflenow applications suite. He is responsible for the overall operability, resiliency, performance, and capacity of owned production services. Manu is also skilled in Linux System Administration (Red Hat certified), Bash, Python, Domain Name System (DNS), virtualization, Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS. He has experience in handling migrations from bare metal to AWS platform. Before joining Jifflenow, Manu worked at Flipkart, India's largest e-commerce website, as a Production System & Network Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer. He was responsible for managing 14k Linux servers hosted in multiple data centers, identifying tasks within the scope of automation, and automating them using shell/bash scripting or Python. Manu also managed databases and ensured maximum availability, identified and fixed Linux Infra related issues, managed the virtualized environment at Flipkart, and troubleshooted network-related issues using monitoring tools like Nagios and Cacti. Manu holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
