Mara Finkel is an accomplished full-stack software engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in the field. She has a diverse skill set that includes expertise in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Mongoose, MongoDB, Node.js, Express.js, SQL, SQLite3, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, React, Redux, HTML, and CSS. Mara is currently working as an Instructor at the Cleveland School of Cannabis, where she is responsible for orchestrating all the foundational training required for dispensary employees with an emphasis on compliance. She is also educating students and medical professionals on state-mandated regulatory structures in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code 3796:6 Medical Marijuana Dispensaries. Mara has guided hundreds of students on the use of state-wide systems and created and maintained presentations, tests, and homework assignments for a 6-week course in order to give a fundamental understanding of medical cannabis from both a clinical and consumer perspective. Before her current role, Mara worked as a Key Employee at The Botanist, where she managed and trained 10 staff members in compliance, product knowledge, and patient consultations. She executed dispensing duties including POS, intake, order fulfillment, and data entry, organized patient information and products using the state-mandated systems METRC, OARRS, and Leaflogix, and performed daily inventory. Mara also has experience working as an A/P Accountant at Pacific Convenience & Fuels, where she prepared checks and worked with vendors, performed invoice data entry, maintained and reviewed ERP database, reconciled accounts, and worked with the Controller to audit accounts and determine pay schedules. Mara's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Javascript, Ruby, SQL, MongoDB, Redux, Parts-of-speech, and NodeJS.
