Marco Trevisan is a seasoned Ubuntu developer at Canonical Ltd with over 10 years of relevant experience. He has a strong background in C++, C, Python, JavaScript, Java, Vala, and PHP development, and is proficient in GTK / Qt widget libraries. Currently, Marco is working as a Debian Maintainer at debian. Prior to this, he worked as a Developer and Foundation Member at GNOME, where he was responsible for maintaining the libwnk library and making various contributions to multiple components including nautilus, gnome-shell, and mutter. He has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Canonical Ltd., where he contributed to the Ubuntu desktop development and was involved in the development of the GNOME Desktop, Shell, and mutter. Additionally, he contributed towards the development of Unity shell and was responsible for investigating issues in the current code base and fixing bugs. He also assessed and developed improvements for Unity based on design recommendations, and contributed to the development of test frameworks inside the code base. Marco holds a degree in Informatica from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, which he completed in 2012. Prior to this, he completed his Diploma in English, French, Physics, and Maths from liceo scientifico in 2004.
